2018 CALL FOR PROPOSALS

Have an idea for a project that will improve the relationship between law enforcement and the local community, or support the needs of police and their families? We’re looking for innovative projects and campaigns that encourage collaboration among police and the communities they serve. Multiple grants will be awarded this year – up to $2,500 for community organizations (per grant), and up to $10,000 for local police departments (per grant). Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.

FUNDING AREAS

1. Community Outreach | We provide funding to both community groups (e.g. academic institutions, local community groups and faith-based organizations) and police departments with proposals for projects and programs designed to support the positive relationship between law enforcement and the community. Priority is given to programs in the Washington, DC Metropolitan region.

2. Equipping, Educating & Empower Law Enforcement | We sponsor programs that equip regional police departments with the resources to acquire best-in-class technology, cutting-edge equipment and expert training to enhance policing efforts and promote public safety.

3. Support for Families of the Fallen and Wounded Officers | We provide funding for programs that assist families or individuals who have been injured or killed in the line of duty.
